Better Together: A Conversation About Community Care
Nowadays, community care is more important than ever. Join us in conversation around this important and timely topic.
Time & Location
Oct 23, 2021, 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM EDT
About the event
In this ongoing pandemic, are your resources and energy zapped? Have you been feeling the burden of trying to work, and adult, and take care of your family and your own needs? Are you hesitant to lean on your community?
Well, join us!
This event is part workshop and part book club discussion, as we will read and discuss the short article "Stronger Together: When Self-Care Becomes Community Care" by Alicia A. Wallace (for Healthline.com).
Human beings are social beings. We were not meant to do life alone. But our current climate and social distancing make it that much more difficult to join in community. Join us in this event to discuss what community care is, how it can complement self-care, and how to show up for yourself and others.
You will be emailed the link to the article in advance of the workshop, along with a PDF workbook that will guide our time together.
We are looking forward to being in COMMUNITY with you on Saturday, October 23rd!
